This is absolutely incredible! With a week still to go until the race, Team Jackie has already smashedit’s target of £50k. Please keep this momentum going – let’s aim for £60k by sunday. As we ease back on our training regimes (I can hear a few of you laughing, and a few more crying!) in the final week, let us see if we can build up the pace on fundraising. At the risk of getting a little carried away, I really do believe that we could achieve £70k. Come on, let’s make Jackie proud!!
With over two weeks to go until the Bath Half, Team Jackie has already raised nearly £42k of it’s £50k target. This takes the total raised since Jackie’s death to nearly £58k. With fund raising activities set to continue well past the finish of the Bath Half Marathon, who knows what figure we may achieve. What we do know though is that it will be a phenomenal result. Dare we aim for £60k instead of £50k now? Please, please lets keep up this amazing effort & momentum!
Wild Sports, in Newbury & Winchester, have kindly offered to contribute 10% of the sale value towards Team Jackie fundraising for all Team Jackie runners shopping there. They have an excellent range of running shoes and offer friendly, impartial advice and are trained to find the right shoe for you. So if you need to break in a new pair of running shoes before the race, or just some need anti-blister socks, this may be the place to go!
Team Jackie has already raised over £22k towards it’s target of £50k – this is absolutely incredible and we still have nearly a month until the Bath Half & fun run. Not that fund raising need stop there. I know many people are only just starting to get into fund raising so I am hopeful that we will make our target.
Our main Just Giving page has £12k (£15k with gift aid), a number of individuals have set up their own Just Giving pages which have raised another £4k, and we have been informed of another 3 donations that will total over £3k – amazing generosity!
Lets keep it going!
